Winning Campaigns Training Comes to Houston

Learn How to be a Top Advocate for Bicycling

Are you a pedestrian advocate who wants to improve your neighborhood’s walking infrastructure? Are you a bicycling advocate who wants to increase the bike route network in your city? If so, you need to attend the Winning Campaigns Training June 8-10 at Rice University.

The training is provided by Alliance for Biking and Walking. Local sponsors are the Citizens Transportation Coalition and BikeHouston. Cost for the weekend training is $100 for Alliance members and $150 for non-members. Limited scholarships to attend the training are available.

The Alliance’s signature Winning Campaigns Training uses proven curriculum targeted specifically to the unique needs and experience of bicycle and pedestrian advocates. This sought-after workshop, conducted in cities across North America, creates new advocates and reignites veteran organizers with critical skills to effect immediate change in their communities.

In just three days, participants learn key organizing tactics in strategizing, funding and conducting campaigns that transform the transportation landscape in their cities and states. These trainings are intended for any potential campaign leader in your organization who would benefit from gaining the tools to craft and manage powerful advocacy campaigns.
